Ask for Angela
Het Zinkstuk joins the Ask Angela campaign of Sportraad Utrecht, Olympos and the Sportcafé. Are you being harassed or do you feel unsafe? Ask for ‘Angela’ at the bar or desk staff of Olympos. This also applies at our pool and during activities. Together we make sports safer.

About Het Zinkstuk
Het Zinkstuk is the most fun student swimming and water polo club in the Netherlands. Although we are fairly small, there is plenty of fun. As a member you can join all swimming and water polo practices.
The association was officially founded on 1 September 1973 as Zwemfederatie Het Zinkstuk. Since 1977 we take part in the Batavierenrace every year. Students in MBO, HBO and university are welcome.
Every Wednesday evening there are drinks at the club house of swimming pool De Krommerijn.
Swimming practice times
Practices are open to swimmers of all levels, with separate lanes for beginner, intermediate and advanced swimmers. Two experienced coaches are always present. Trial practices are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays; sign up using this link.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of practice to allow enough time to change and warm up. Are you in the pool more than 10 minutes after the start? Then the coach may not allow you to join the practice.
* The Wednesday practice time changes during the season: from the start of the season until 3 February 22:00 - 23:00, from 10 February until the end of the season 21:00 - 22:00. The season starts in the first week of September on a Monday.
Competitions
Het Zinkstuk takes part in the four meets of the Dutch Student Swimming Competition (NSZK), a competition between eleven student swimming clubs. There is also the Open Dutch Student Championships (ONKS) with individual prizes. On Friday there is a pre-party, and after the meet on Saturday we have dinner together and end with a (theme) party.
Water polo practice times
We have three water polo teams: one men's and two women's teams. Players of any level can join. The most important practice is on Wednesday evening: the teams train separately for an hour and a half, of which one hour in the full 50 m pool. Trial practices are only held on Wednesdays; sign up using this link.
| Day | What | Time | Location |

Matches and tournaments
The teams play their home matches at the same time on Supersundays, with drinks and the chance to cheer each other on. We also take part in the four rounds of the Dutch Student Water Polo Competition (NSWK), and in summer we go to fun tournaments.

Safe sports environment
All students are welcome at Het Zinkstuk. The board ensures this with the help of the inclusivity committee.
